... to the Institute for Strategic Management: Stakeholder View of the University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration (HWZ).

As one of the oldest stakeholder research groups in Europe, we are proud of our tradition of excellence in teaching and research belonging to this field. In cooperation with Jim Post from Boston University and Lee Preston from University of Maryland, the Research Institute has developed a comprehensive management approach called Stakeholder View. This research has led to the publication of the book "Redefining the Corporation: Stakeholder Management and Organizational Wealth" and several publications in international top-journals. Our current research was developed over years based on former research and more particularly the goals of the current project were derived from international professional contacts and through discussions with practitioners and academics. Empirical investigations confirm that there is a need for a comprehensive strategic management approach that considers stakeholder-relations as a source for gaining benefits and reducing risks. Stakeholder management is an applied science and we are always anxious to apply our knowledge to the development of practical solutions to problems as they arise. Due to our ongoing research activities, we are in a constant and intensive exchange of demands and ideas with practitioners from various industries. This enables us to develop highly practical tools and instruments for implementation and maintenance of stakeholder management systems based on long-term stakeholder relationships in order to gain more benefits and less risks.
