TOEIC

The Recommendation for your International Career

The “Test of English for International Communications” (TOEIC) shows how well you can communicate in everyday business English. It does not require any specialized subject knowledge or vocabulary, but focuses on practical English skills used in daily work. With over 2.5 million candidates a year, the TOEIC is the globally leading test. Several thousand companies are already using this test as a reliable tool to assess proficiency in English.

Whether you use the certificate to find an optimal entry to your career, to recommend yourself for a new position or promotion in your company or spice up your Curriculum Vitae, is all up to you. In any case, you can assess your current English proficiency. The TOEIC is a multiple choice test with 200 tasks assessing your verbal and written understanding of English. It lasts for about 2 to 2.5 hours. The examination scripts are assessed centrally. After about 2 weeks you will receive your “TOEIC Certificate of Achievements” which states the points that you have achieved. The maximum achievable is 990 points.

This TOEIC test is also available to external candidates. For bachelor degree students, the TOEIC test is mandatory in the 6th semester and is part of the foundation studies.
