Rigor and relevance of data by multi-method approach

Over the past decade, we have gained considerable experience in multi-company, multi-stakeholder and multi-disciplinary empirical research which speaks to the academic community as well as to the practitioners. We will build on this experience and on this database. As we conduct in this project longitudinal, qualitative case studies, we will be able to draw upon a data base which is rich and exceptional in its kind. Furthermore, we combine in this project qualitative and quantitative methods in a thus far new way. Through this mixed-method approach we will be able nominalize our evidence and thus add rigor to the qualitative research. This project therefore has also the potential to contribute on a methodological level to the question of what new and adequate ways of researching mutual value creation can be.
