Value-Creation with and for Stakeholders |
Business schools are responsible for preparing new generations of leaders for a networked globalized society. A strong humanistic element is missing within the current business education. The challenge is therefore: How do we bring a commitment to placing our needs as human beings at the center of our institutions, work, and professions, rather than to follow blindly the logic of abstract shareholder value thinking and impersonal markets?
We are a group of academics who have extensive experience in engaging firms and stakeholder groups through our teaching and research. In this new initiative we invite practitioners from diverse firms and organizations, as well as scholars and students from various fields, to support educators of future leaders. Our goal is to foster teaching and research that contributes to the humanistic mission of “people for people.” We base our insights on our research (see our new book "Stakeholders Matter"), see also our teaching activities at bachelor, master and doctorate level.
